Editorial policy

Small publications earn trust through predictability rather than pedigree, so the rules binding the desk fit on one page and apply everywhere on the site equally.

Evidence before sentences

A claim prints when it either reproduces on the reader's own machine or traces to a named primary source. Where a precise figure lacks an attributable origin, the text stays qualitative instead, even though numbers decorate pages prettily. Statistics about audiences, surveys or results do not get invented to dress up authority; there are none to publish yet, and pretending otherwise helps nobody.

Review cadence and dating

Pieces get revisited roughly quarterly, sooner where macOS behavior moves. Every page shows its original publication date; substantive revisions add a dated update note rather than quietly rewriting history, because readers deserve to see which advice changed after publication.

The corrections ledger

Errors past typo scale receive visible dated amendments. Complaints enter through the support desk, stay logged until resolved, and closing summaries describe outcomes plainly. Wholesale rewrites acknowledge openly that the original treatment missed its target.

Separation from money

Revenue relationships live under the sponsorship disclosure and never touch appraisal verdicts; the only lever changing a conclusion is the same retraction procedure available to anyone documenting our mistakes.

Publisher facts in one place

Who publishes this domain, where its static files run, and how much of a page may be quoted elsewhere gather on their own sheet rather than scattering across footers: see the legal notice, kept short enough to actually read before relying on any of it.
